This website is run by Maria, a sole trader providing Portuguese lessons and concierge services in and around Ponte de Lima, Portugal (we, us, our). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at marialuis.studio@gmail.com.
We only collect the information you choose to give us:
We do not ask for sensitive information through this website, and we do not collect payment details on the site.
We use your information to reply to your enquiry and arrange the lessons or help you have asked for, to provide the service you have agreed to, and to keep the records we are legally required to keep, such as invoices. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it to anyone.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we rely on your consent when you contact us, the steps needed to enter into or carry out a contract with you, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running a small business, and our legal obligations, such as keeping tax and invoicing records.
This website does not use cookies and does not track you. We do not run advertising or analytics tools. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers to fetch the fonts, and Google may receive your IP address as part of that request. If we add analytics or other tools in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where it is required.
We keep your information to ourselves. We may share it only with trusted service providers who help us run the business, such as our email provider, and only as far as needed, or where we are required to by law. Some providers may be based outside the European Economic Area, and where that is the case we take care to use providers that offer appropriate protection for your information.
We keep enquiry messages only as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. Where the law requires us to keep records, such as invoices, we keep them for the period set by Portuguese law. After that, we delete or anonymise your information.
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to limit or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time. If you are not happy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissao Nacional de Protecao de Dados (CNPD), at www.cnpd.pt.
We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, but we do our best to protect it.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
